THE MARGARET HEINS FOUNDATION
Created through the generosity of a trust created by the late Margaret Heins to support the work of tax-exempt, not-for-profit organizations in Brevard County. The Board of Trustees were close personal friends and advisors of Mrs. Heins and now oversee the distribution of funds in accordance with her wishes.
AREAS OF INTEREST
While willing to consider any proposal that benefits the citizens of Brevard County, the Foundation Trustees have identified three specific areas of interest which they seek to address through their grants. These include children’s, women’s, and environmental issues. More specifically, within each of these areas, the Foundation Trustees are interested in:
- Children – physical, emotional, and mental development; education and literacy; protection and advocacy
- Women – protection, advocacy, and counseling
- Environment – preservation and protection waterways and habitats.
